While growing up, Camilla Belle performed roles in various TV movies and shows such as “Empty Cradle,” “Deconstructing Sarah,” “Young Elizabeth,” and “Annie: A Royal Adventure.” Camilla Belle also made a guest appearance in the martial arts series, “Martial Law,” which starred Sammo Hung.
During the latter part of the 1990s, Camilla Belle starred in the hit fantasy-thriller movie, “The Lost World: Jurassic Park.” Camilla Belle also performed a role in “Poison Ivy II,” and “Walker: Texas Ranger.” Camilla Belle later worked alongside Sandra Bullock in the movie “Practical Magic, “ and this was followed by roles in “The Wild Thornberrys,” “The Patriot,” “The Secret of the Andes,” and “Replacing Dad.”
In 2000, Camilla Belle starred in the Disney original movie “Rip Girls.” Camilla Belle later took on the role of Lizzie Buscana in the TV movie “Back to the Secret Garden,” and the drama “The Invisible Circus.” Camilla Belle then took a short break from acting, but soon after she returned with a starring role in the thriller “When a Stranger Calls.” Camilla Belle soon gained stardom in what can be considered her international breakout role, the epic movie “10,000 B.C.” Camilla Belle also played notable roles in movies such as “The Quiet,” “The Chumscrubber,” and the drama “The Ballad of Jack and Rose,” opposite actor Daniel Day Lewis.
In 2009, Camilla Belle starred in the movie “A Deriva.” In the same year Camilla Belle took on the lead role as Kira Hudson in the sci-fi thriller, “Push,” which is about a group of youngsters with superpowers who are hiding from a sinister U.S. government agency.
Camilla Belle is set to star in “Father of Invention,” due in 2010.
